A busy sports schedule in February kept our exploring to our own backyard. Here is a snap shot of a warmer than usual February day and my husband and daughter doing farm chores. You don't want to miss the cute little baby lamb toward the end. Documentary photography is not my favorite genre, I love lifestyle where I can control more of the elements. It felt good to push myself, and only create with my camera, and not my directions. Only capturing glances and smiles as they happened and letting go of that worry that it was or wasn't happening in the perfect light.
Make sure to follow the circle around and see what my friends were up to last month. First up is the very talented Carrie Bayless and her stunning shots of MPLS.
Chelsea Lovett, owner and designer at Modehaus Bridal based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota, asked me to document her custom dressmaking process to showcase on her website. Chelsea wanted her clients to be able to know exactly the type of attention that they were going to be getting when they commission a custom gown. In this post you get to see how one custom gown comes to life, but it's one of many. You can visit her website at modehausbridal.com to check out her bridal collections as well as other custom gowns she has created.
I love working with small business and other artists to really showcase their brand through lifestyle images. Here is what working with Chelsea looks like... and yes, you want a custom gown.. I know I do!!! Make sure to look at all the images in the post, you also get to see how great a Modehaus gown would look on your wedding day. Hair and make up done by the fabulous Steph from SM Makeup Inc , seriously, she is your girl if you need hair and makeup!
