My oldest turned 9 last month, and I was able to do a little session to document who he was on the actual day of his birthday. He didn't love it, he would much rather be behind the camera. He is learning manual mode on an old rebel t1i, and doing REALLY good. I won't allow him to turn it on auto, he has a good point and shoot for that. I was able to capture who he was through my eyes, but at the end he requested his vision, he wanted to be a Jedi Knight, and be "blacked out" or silhouetted. This is our collaboration, our visions combined. I love all the ones that I took of him, where I can see his expressions, and his smile, but these images go way beyond love for me. They speak of his vision for himself, they are something we did together and something we both love as a result. This is him. This is nine.
